Venerable Khen Rinpoche Jampa

Ven. Khen Rinpoche Jampa comes to us from the Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lödrö Institute in Chauntra, Himachal Pradesh, North India, where he spent seventeen years studying with his main teacher, His Eminence Khenchen Kunga Wangchuk.  He received his Degree of Acharya after 9 years of study and eventually graduated with a Ph.D. in Buddhist philosophy & psychology after both teaching & serving as library director for a number of years. During his studies he was also ordained as a Khenpo, or Abbot, along with 27 of his classmates, out of recognition of their tremendous academic achievements. Before coming to India, he completed a three year of silent in Tibet from the age of 17 to 19. He has received empowerments from all four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism and from many great masters including His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin, His Holiness Dagchen Rinpoche, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, and His Eminence Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche.

He arrived in the United States in 2010 and he now teaches intermediate and advanced level classes on Buddhist philosophy, sutra and highest yoga tantra all over the world. He is the founder and president of Tibetan Education Foundation, the former president of the International Association of Non-sectarian Tibetan Religious Traditions (IANTRT) of North America and the current president of the North American Sakya World Peace Monlam Foundation who successfully held the first annual Sakya Monlam for World Peace Prayer Festival in Walden, New York, September 2017.
